World Polio Day

Today World Polio Day is being observed all over the world.  Pakistan on the other hand once again becomes the '' victim '' of  Polio. Pakistan still one of the three remaining polio-endemic countries. The other two countries are Afghanistan and Nigeria. Though Pakistani govt.is continuously taking serious steps to eradicate this horrible disease, but all in vain. Pakistan's health department in this regard always keeps large surveillance networks in the world but the result is still ''yes ''. People, on the other hand, should also show a gentle attitude to the government's efforts. People must know that there is no cure for polio and it can only be prevented by immunization. Despite regular polio campaign in Pakistan, polio awareness campaigns by social welfare societies and religious scholars should also begin. The religious scholars must tell low literate people that there is no danger in taking anti-polio drops. The doctors should al...

Let’s Clean Karachi ‘ is one of the best campaigns ever run in Pakistan till now. It would be better to say that this campaign was the need for Karachi. For Karachi, this campaign is” oxygen ” if it is succeeded in its full spirit. Arrangements of brooms, litter picking machines,dumper-trucks along with man-power is a basic asseccerory that was needed to run this campaign fastly and successfully. In this regard, the efforts of Federal Minister Ali Zaidi cannot be ignored. Though due to rain this process of cleaning has been slowed or somewhere stopped, this is all temporary. On the other hand, if this campaign will succeded, PTI will win the hearts of the people of Karachi, who for a long time waiting for someone who can solve their problems.

6th Sense

Very few people know about the presence of the 6th sense in our life. We all are told about the 5 senses 1- Sense of sight 2- Sense of hearing 3- Sense of touching 4-Sense of  taste 5- Sense of smell But what is this 6th sense? Does this 6th sense present in every human being? Do we use it in our everyday life? Are we taught in our school and colleges about this sense? In fact, no book tells us about this  ‘secret’  sense. Yes, I would call it a ‘secret sense’, ‘mysterious sense’……. The 6th sense. Found in everybody, but is functional in very few people in very rare conditions. 6th sense warns a person, suddenly, just before the coming dangers in unordinary situations. But because of being not common like the other 5 senses, every person cannot be aware of the upcoming disaster beforehand and thus becomes the victim of strange accidents. If it works, we will not see hundreds and thousands of people kill...

Pink Ribbon

Pink Ribbon health movement is being observed nowadays. And like other countries of the world, it was also observed in our country  Pakistan as well. Pink Ribbon '' actually stands for the awareness of breast cancer in women. But the question is what does this so-called information reach to the ill -literate and poor women of our society, who even not have the resources to fulfill their needs? Does the government has planned any 'mobile-teams' for remote areas to educate innocent women of our society about this ''horrible disease''?Does any TV shows being presented on a weekly basis to tell symptoms and precautions to women? Because in our country, TV  is the most-watched media source. It is being watched in all classes for almost all 24 hrs. If not then only by lightened the buildings pink at night, and delivering speeches in Five-star hotels is not enough.
