Reko Diq

”Reko Diq ” a magical name, a mysterious story…..not going to discuss the ‘Reko Diq ‘ case, its judgment by the ICSID or its consequences on poor Pakistani economy but gong to discuss only the area Reko Diq.
Reko Diq is a land of poor people with rich fate in their hands. It is a mountainous area which is enriched with precious minerals like Gold and Copper. These minerals are no doubt are a gift by ALLAH for the innocent and sincere people of Pakistan. Reko Dik is a small town in Chagai District, Balochistan, Pakistan. It is located in a desert area,70 Kilometres northwest of Nawkundi, close to Pakistan’s border with Iran and Afghanistan.
Reko Diq is a remote location which means ‘ sandy peaks ‘ in the Baluchi language. It is also said that Reko Diq is the name of an ”ancient volcano ”.These mountains believed to have the world’s 5th largest Gold deposit.
Moreover, if we talk about Copper, it is said that Reko Diq has the world’s estimated reserves of 5.9 billion tonnes of ore grading 0.41% Copper.
All Pakistanis should be thankful to Allah, Who bestowed us with such a great blessing. Many interesting stories are also popular by the local people about these mountains. Some people say that ‘hot winds as if coming from hell’ protect this ” treasure of gold and copper ”from robbers.
But in 1992 they were happy to know that someone is willing to put in money required to dig-ups the precious metal from under their feet. But the sad fact is that teams came but stopped to discover the gold and copper treasures, as while they were digging the land ‘ a storm of hot wind came and pulled out the tents and ropes of the team. The team members became so much frightened, that they stopped their work and went away.
After that, it was in 2008 that (TCC) was hired by the Pakistani Government for mining this treasure, but unfortunately, TCC also could not continue its work.
Apart from all the above things, Reko Diq is a great asset of Pakistani people. And the efforts of securing this great asset of GOLD and COPPER should not be stopped.

Pink Ribbon

Pink Ribbon health movement is being observed nowadays. And like other countries of the world, it was also observed in our country  Pakistan as well. Pink Ribbon '' actually stands for the awareness of breast cancer in women. But the question is what does this so-called information reach to the ill -literate and poor women of our society, who even not have the resources to fulfill their needs? Does the government has planned any 'mobile-teams' for remote areas to educate innocent women of our society about this ''horrible disease''?Does any TV shows being presented on a weekly basis to tell symptoms and precautions to women? Because in our country, TV  is the most-watched media source. It is being watched in all classes for almost all 24 hrs. If not then only by lightened the buildings pink at night, and delivering speeches in Five-star hotels is not enough.
